node32.html Program management The SENTINELS Steering Group is in charge of SENTINELS. Its members represent the industry involved and the main financiers of the program. The main responsibility is to supervise the general progress and state of affairs. The Steering Group is assisted by and can delegate her tasks to the SENTINELS Program Committee. The Program Committee is responsible for (a.o.) the scientific content of the program. To react decisively to sudden changes, a subset of the Program Committee, the Board, is responsible for the daily management of the program. A Program Office is assisting both the Program Committee and the Board. The construction Steering Group -- Program Committee has been chosen a.o. to avoid possible conflicts of interest, since the academic members of the Program Committee are candidates for funding.
