Professional activities of SENTINELS members

The SENTINELS community has strong links with the international security community. For space reasons we will not list the many research papers that have appeared in the scientific literature. We will only list some of the professional activities of prominent members of the SENTINELS community for 2002 and 2003.

Andy Tanenbaum, VU

 

Author of many widely used, advanced textbooks on a range of core computer science topics, such as computer architecture, operating systems, distributed systems and networking. Security is a key topic in all the books.

Bart Preneel, Leuven

  • International Association for Cryptologic Research: Vice President.

  • 2001-2003: Member of the Editorial Board of the Kluwer Encyclopedia of Information Security. Responsible for the areas of block ciphers, hash functions and MAC algorithms.

  • Since 2001: Member of the Editorial Board of the ACM Transactions on Information Security.

  • Since 1999: Member of the Accreditation Board from ``Computer and Communications Security Reviews'' (ANBAR, UK).

  • Since 1997: Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Cryptology.
